That's silly.

When someone says "Fuck You", they don't mean they actually want to fuck you.

It's a saying... We are raised around phrases... He is simply saying one he has heard a million times over and people understand.

I actually use the phrase "Thank goodness" in those instances, but that's because I'm very particular about making sure people understand that I do not thank any God for anything.

That said, if God proved his existence to me, I'd be fine with it.

Religious people always tell atheists to have an open mind, yet they are 100% certain a god exists, they are 100% certain that only their god exists, and they are not willing to hear anything else. How is this open minded?

You are a strange one, lots of people say Thank God, it has ZERO reflection on their religous affiliation. It is a commonly used expression or phrase, no different than when I curse in traffic at another driver calling him a 'mother fucker', I don't literally believe he fucks his mother.(unless of course the other driver is you, then I actually believe that you fuck your mother)  If that's all it takes for you to think others believe in GOD, well God help you.

What are "know staticians" or did you mean "now statisticians" and according to world renowned Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking the evidence points towards there being NO GOD.  

I am not sure what scientists you are talking about, but multiple surveys have shown that between 60% and 70 % of US scientists expressed disbelief or doubt in the existence of God,
