It's referred to as the Squirrel Syndrome. The cheeks are used for roid storage.

Platz had slightly better legs but DeMayo definitely had the edge in overall balance, with a good upper body that wasn't far off from the legs.

Platz of course. Platz was size wise at his peak in 86 and would BLOW Demayo away.

Platz was the quad king. He squatted 635 for 15 reps in 1986, weeks before the olympia. According to him his best set ever.
And of course...his 30 rep sets with 500, 100 reps with 225, 23 reps with 585, 20 with 600, 50 with 350, and 38 with 405.

!!!!

I'm a huge platz fan...I hope I can answer any questions about him and his training.

uuuum, not even close, disgusted. it was the de. state championships in 1995. i was there and my buddy jim giordano who helped promote the show, was the one who got them to do that posedown.
