for under $500, go for either bulova or esq by Movado. great styles and quality. I've got both and have had them for over ten yrs each! I've actually got a few esq chronos im trying to slang, but keeping it only local (SoCal)

You can also pick up a classic used Cartier Santos for about $600-$800 online if you look hard enough

The more valuable looking the better. I got the clothes down, just need the watch. Got many fitted hats, bright white kicks, lots of jordan kicks, jerseys, jeans, timberlands. the whole 9 yards. just need the watch.

bulova?

And my suggestion be it ever so humble....save up and buy a nice watch once, instead of cheapies over and over

So, you're sitting in a board of directors meeting and you want a Fossil or Armitron watch falling out of the sleeve of your K-Mart suit?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!   ;D
That's when you get the Phillipe Starck designed Fossils

Does this come with a owners manual or are you on your on to figure it out?

Any good watch should come with a manual.

Swiss made. Got an altimeter for my hiking passion. Looks good with a suit or with thermal top and a windbreaker. Not crazy cheap and not thousands of bucks.

Anyone notice how watches are getting really big lately? I have a small wrist and some of these watches look ridiculous on my wrist.

True, I have to buy mid-size option with the Omega models because the regular mens stands out too much. My wrists aren't particularly narrow either, so must be where they are heading generally with oversized dials

This looks close to my dress watch. I like it. I think I paid about $220 for it. Looks really nice and understated with a suit.
