It's been a good year and a half since I could tell you who placed top 3 to 5 in any major show you asked me about. It just started being the same 8-10 guys with progressively worser physiques at one point or another. No new guys, and guys past their prime trying to find that magical balance in proportion or whatever that was supposed to sooner or later justify the new quality deficit. A friend pointed out to me a little while ago that back in the early 90's, when people like Titus and Prince were turning pro, that people in gyms and shit would be talking about who was gonna take who 6 months out from even the national shows. Now people are doing good to know the name of the guy that turned pro a month ago, on the internet. I don't know if it's just where I've been or where bodybuilding's at right now. Regardless, things sure have changed from my point of view, wherever that's coming from.
