I have never used a Trijicon. Is that the one that doesn't use a battery and uses a glowing radio active aiming point?

yep.  they glow for 12 years or something.

Just trust me, the AK47 is superior to the M4. I've played thousands of hours of CS.

up to 100 yards my ass, if you're that chimp maybe. here's an old dude reliably hitting a 15" plate at 230 yards with a wasr-10, probably the lowest quality AK on the market, open sights, no stupid extraneous shit. i think the he even had XS big dot (cqb) sights on there at the time. plus the dude's vision isn't so great, to boot. russian soldiers with the newer 5.45 74's routinely make 500 yard shots without problems.

an ak-47 or 74 is more than accurate enough for any soldier. i don't understand this accuracy argument AR proponents make, most of the time they're just suppressing fire while waiting for air support to get there. it's a glorified range rifle.  ::)

sources estimate 50,000-200,000 rounds were fired in vietnam for every 1 VC kill. bench accuracy on a combat rifle is 90% irrelevant. there's a reason squad snipers exist.

i prefer the FAL myself though. nice hard-hitting round and great ergonomics, love the placement of the mag and bolt release. even beats AR ergonomics imo.

edit: derp, fucked up the video, should be g2g now

Goof post. AK's are a lot more accurate than people give them credit for

this is the SLR in action but with an amateur. He does not understand the rifle. He has to keep manuly ejecting rounds because the gas plug at the front of the weapon needs adjusted. what a girl...not ex Brit Army

I was Expert with EVERY weapon in the USMC (M16, M40, 9mm, .45, etc)

I still think that AK is a VERY scary weapon.

If the shit does ever hit the fan, i'll defenitly be grabbing the AK's.  I love the M4 platform, and all the accessories for them.  However, i've seen to many failures with M4's to consider them a shtf rifle.  My AK's on the other hand, i've never had a single failure of anykind, and it doesn't matter what ammo I put in them.  AK FTW.   :D

I have never had a failure in my ARs from steel cased Wolf & Tula to Q3131A to XM193

Not for me.  I've had failures of light primer strikes, bolt not going into battery, and magazine not fully engaging when inserted.  Never had a single failure with my AK's.   :D

What kind of rifle? and magazine failure is not the same as rifle failure most magazine failures are usually bent lips

Colt, PSA, Core15.  Like I said, I love the M4, and have several.  They are great rifles, but are not near the battle rifle the AK is.  Once the AK12 becomes available, there will be no more debate on which rifle is the best battle weapon.  The AK-47 and M4 will both be left behind.   :D

at the end of the Day itīs the man and not the weapon who has the impact. A fool can shoot and kill but a trained guy can conserve ammo and can direct his fire to and where he wants.

This is one of my favorite rifles. Old school assault 30-30. Roughly the same power as the AK 47 round. Worked back in the cowboy days and it works now.
