You wouldn't have your gun trained on residents. I don't thing they actively targeted residents. They do have their guns at the high ready in the event the guy they're looking for suddenly shows up. I would bet that if you asked those officers today, they would say they wished they had not went house to house searching for the guy and just went directly to the boat he was hiding in. They have ordered those crystal balls on Ebay and none of them work as well as the ones the GB'er have. Had they known it was JUST a 19 yr old kid who was defenseless I'm sure they would have sat around those houses smoking cigarettes and chatting up the residents.  

I don't have a problem with the house searches, or even the raised guns.  Keeping it trained on an old lady in her house-coat and slippers might be a tad excessive, if that were the case.  I'm not against what they had to do.

I didn't see that picture but if that is the case, then yes, that would be excessive, unsafe and not how they were trained.

I'd like to know what definition for "terrorist" was used, and how the "chance" was determined.  Seems to me a person has effectively no chance of being killed by a terrorist, especially if Intelligence was doing its job.
