A lingerie range for men has proven to be a commercial success. Australian company HommeMystere came up with the idea after lamenting the dearth of fancy male underwear, and aimed to fix this by producing and selling items such as bras and thongs specific for the gender.
Brent Krause, HommeMystere founder, explained:
"Women have a broad range of fabrics, colors, styles and textures, where guys have a limited offering. We decided to trial a few different patterns and use satins with a hint of lace in the designs, and the response was far greater than expected. Often, the bras cause confusion with women and a frequent comment is, 'Why? There's nothing to support'. But it's the feel of the garment that's important, not the function.
HommeMystere added that they are looking into expanding and opening shops in the UK as a result of the positive reaction their lingerie has received. Read more at Digital Spy
