Lot of upright rows helped in the recovery process.
How much do you lift on one arm behind the head tricep extensions BDB?

Thanks for posting, Steve.

How does the chest protector in Football allow for such a devastating chest injury?

ESPN is a sports network. Bodybuilding isn't a sport and bodybuilders are not athletes.

I could be wrong but I clearly see the helmet hitting his chest in the video. By the way the link above is now about a gay basketball player. I think this is the right one.  http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9223992

This is what I see. DJ is number 2. He gets hit in the solar plexus with the knee of the other player. The other players helmet was high in the air. The other players helmet never gets close to the chest of DJ. The other player hits DJ in the chest with his knee.

I was right. He got hit in his chest with a flying knee by his own safety.

They go through the checklist of fortunate decisions and outcomes that saved Hayden's life on Nov. 6. Hayden was hit on a fairly routine play in practice.

He was drifting over to break up a pass. Safety Trevon Stewart jumped for the pass. His KNEE hit Hayden in the chest. Collisions like it happen regularly in full-pads football practices.

"It's a hit you see ALL the time," Houston's athletic trainer Mike O'Shea said.

"It was a routine play," Houston coach Tony Levine said. "It was a collision I've seen happen to the naked eye probably thousands of times."

Thanks Arce..... the doctor who operated said this kind of internal bleeding is usually 95% fatal.  Hell of a story.
