Dude that song made chicks wet in an instant.  We'd be alone and I'd put this on and it was instant sex.  I smashed so many chicks to it.

I remember this was when LL was off the scene for a while, took a few cycles and appeared shirtless and he was talking about his clean eating and hard workouts.  lol

I have seen pretty much every big rap artist/group and honestly the best concert I saw was when Chef Raekwon came to Portland right after he dropped immobularity and just dropped the livest show you ever saw! He let us have it raw! That was the best live performance I have ever seen and like I said I have seen almost all of the best! It was a small 2,000 person crowd and we all got our money's worth plus much more!

I'm happy to see there aren't a bunch of 20 year old getbiggers jumping in saying Little Wayne is the greatest rapper, etc.

Seems even the younger music fans often realize the transparency and weakness of today's music.   It's probably the same with rock... nobody jumping around to say the 2012 rock music scene was just so incredible.  It's rehashed garbage, trying to match pearl jam, aero, etc.

I'm going to have to say best rap album for me was always Liquid Swords by GZA. Not a bad track on there. Also The Swarm by the Wu-Tang Killa Bees a close second.

interesting thing about that song was that the woman who rapped in that wasnt the same in the vid. The real chick was a "big" or thick girl, and didnt fit the image that LL/and the director wanted for that vid.

I have to say, hip hop died, when everybody started that "Sing Rapping", which pretty much started with Nelly.
Wu, kept the lyricism, and Dre had that slick production.
One could even say that Dre helped with the demise of hip-hop by his very slick production. Hip Hop lost its "street" value, and became more corporate---urban corporate if you will.

correction, it died in 2001. "rap" has been hijacked by probably the cia, to be used to influence young minorities.

Ok I'll be the first to catch hell, but you can't make a best rapper list without Jay-Z.  I know he borrows a line here or there, but he's been consistently at the top for like 15 years now.

Resonable Doubt was amazing
Vol. 1 not so much
Vol. 2 was great
Vol. 3 was just as good
The Dynasty Roc-la-familia was great
The Blueprint was a game changer...hit after hit
Best of Both Worlds was cool as hell
Blueprint 2 was a big drop off...couple decent tracks
Black Album was almost as good as The Blueprint
and Blueprint 3 was epic as well.

I know I left out a few that werent so hot....but how can you deny anyone who's put THAT much quality out there.  Most artist struggle to put out one entire album thats hot...he does it every couple years.

Also, I was at his first concert after 9/11 and he just walked out on stage with a mic...no hype or anything and just started freestyling about what had happened for what felt like 10 minutes....I wish I could go back in time, buy a camcorder,  and video it...I had chills

The greatest era of rap was from about '94 to '2000 (give or take a year on both ends) Now it almost complete shit. I just listen for the occasional hot "club track" the talent pool is god awful now.
