I'm fine with high school kids having access to butter.

But man, elementary school kids will drink 5 straight chocolate milks and eat nonstop butter tabs til they puke, if it's just sitting out.

LOL @ us even having a debate here.

Who are you to decide?

Once again exposed as an over-bearing, big government twat.

I don't think we should give 7 year olds access to Sig Sauers or car keys either.

Some items in this world are harmful and I don't think minors should have access to them.

Heck, I've seen 1st graders arrive at school with SIX reeces PB cups and a can of mountain dew in their lunch.  Gross.

Nothing wrong with chocolate milk for the kids that age.  Or any age for that matter.

And he makes the logical leap from butter to Sig Sauers and car keys.

Pray tell, can 7 year olds legally obtain Sig Sauers and car keys?

What an asinine argument from the "libertarian" clown who continues to support intrusion-after-intrusion by the government. Hypocrite douche.

You've seen them arrive with six PB cups and mountain dew, eh? How does that affect you? The onus is on the child's parents. Or are you of the Melissa Harris-Perry school (aka Mao Zedong) where you think other's children belong to you?

Butter, when consumed in large quantities (and oh yeah, kids will eat that shit all day) can make a person sick, or even kill them.

If you can limit it to one butter tab for each kid, that's cool.

I'm saying you cannot trust 1st graders to make their own food choices when it comes to unlimited quantities of fat/calorie rich foods.  They'll drink a cup of syrup, stopping only to vomit.  Kids do some nasty stuff, and will seriously mess themselves up with food.

So yes, you limit access of foods to children.  That's nothing to do with govt intrusion.

And thank you for proving that you didn't even read the article.

The article talks about cafeteria personnel being shaken down for ordering butter to put in the food they prepare. It is not about children having access to butter.

Why do you even bother contributing to these threads? You never read anything. Do you think your opinion is that valuable?

Whole milk and white bread have also been banned apparently. How do you feel about that?  ::)
