Do you really think a fraud would try to ONLY steal $27 dollars from you?
So because you got several PM's stating that Arce is a brain-damaged, simple fuck that will deter you from making amends with a fellow human being that simply sought out to help you?
Just say you don't want to give up your money and leave it at that. Don't blame it on supposed PM's from random stranger that have clearly never met Arce.
The best way to save face is to simply acknowledge it was a misunderstanding and that's it. Don't attach all these other stipulations or insults to your replies, as it only strips your argument of any leg to stand on.
Shame on Arce for sitting around waiting for you. Hell, shame on Arce for even offering to go out to pick you up. A simple cab ride would have sufficed. If anything, you two could have simply planned for a workout at the local fitness club and called it a day. If that would have fallen through, whomever would have gotten stood up, could have then, at the very least, walked away with a workout under their belt.
Lesson for Arce: Stop being so fucking gullible.
Lesson for Quickerblade: Don't agree to having anyone (particularly a stranger from an internet forum) pick you up from the airport.

He won't give up the money, so that's that. I wouldn't expect money in Arce's position. All I would like would be an admission of screwing me over. Yes, shame on Arce for waiting around. I don't think shame on him for offering. OMR, if you came to Chicago I would do the same thing. You are someone I could easily re-arrange my schedule for. Obviously Arce thought the same thing for QB. The thing I would say would be shame on Arce for not being an OCD-like douche I am and make sure its all planned out nearly down to the second. Even on the slim (lets say its 1/100,000) chance that QB did magically "run into" the nurse, what would have happened had he not had plans with Arce and not run into her? What would the cab ride have cost? Most likely more than $27.
I agree with lesson for Arce....I would, instead, say this:
Lesson for QB : Don't come on here with excuses thinking that we are all as naive as Arce. Get your story straight (even if you are going to try and bullshit your way through things) so that people aren't calling you out.
