does Levin have any authority to be able to "pressure" the IRS on anything?  I don't think so.

It looks like he spoke his opinion on this matter in public, openly. I don't see anything wrong with that even if it's wrong.

If somehow he applied real pressure on the IRS, I don't know how he could but if, then this isn't going to be good:
Senator Levin to join congressional investigations of IRS

He's the chairperson of the permanent subcommittee on investigations.

Of course he can pressure the IRS.

Click the Links I posted above and read for yourself.

Of course that fat *uck is in damage mode now. He doesn't want to be remembered as the corrupt slimeball he is.

No, the chair of that subcommittee can't single handily apply pressure on the IRS lol... That position doesn't put him in a place to, by himself, pressure the IRS.  He has no single handed authority to apply pressure on the IRS.  From what you posted it looks like all of that information was put out to the public by him when it happened.  That's a big difference from twisting arms. One is making a public opinion and the other is illegal.

GW, If he had the means to bend the IRS on his own, why would he have said all this stuff in public; what would be the point? lol...

Aside from these facts, do you really want Levin taking the hit for this before we know how high it really goes?  The way you and the stories posted worded it, seems like a recipe for those really responsible to say: "see, it wasn't our fault."
