xbox vs playstation

The last thing I bought was a Wii, years ago.

What is the platform to buy for games like Vice City, the new GTA 5, maybe a ghost recon or one of those cool call of duty games?  I haven't touched a "real" video game system since ps2 (ghost recon) and nintendo (?) for Goldeneye.   Thanks for your advice.

I plan on squatting before using a game system.

until someone,esp EA Sports "If it's in the game, we don't put it in our games." starts making real physics based sports games, leave them on the shelf.

Looks like PS3 has a slight edge?

what's the point of xbox 720 advanced technology when the game play is still on par with the GameCube?  in other words, ncaa football 2006 on GameCube is better, esp the AI, than 2013 Madden or NCAA, with the exception of EA's usual eye candy yearly upgrades.

Agreed G, the older games on Game cube were better Madden 07 was the bomb on Game cube.

Or play the tons of other fantastic games on the system, and utilize the machine for other multimedia purposes.

  I had asked about how to get the PS3 for the best price last month for my daughter   I wound up just getting it from Target for $333



 but some here said that a PS4 will be out soon? Fack

Teach yourself about the main individual components of a PC (memory, graphics cards, motherboards, etc) and get a PC company online to build you the best one you can afford.

Even a mid-range system will likely shit all over any console.

Except when you have have to keep upgrading your graphics card, and you can never play Halo, Uncharted, Forza, etc...

I got to get a console as well. Relive my youth through videogames...

I guess platform games are kind of dead now. GTA 5 seems to be the coolest to come. Is that for PS4?
