Zach....

Thats "Jackie"....BTW, I have a pdf with a SHIT TON of conditioning workouts...want it?

All the people ripping on CF people for their "cult" attitudes.  Ummm...how about the HIT trainer cult?  The 'high volume' cult?  The "no carb" cult?  The "natural" cult?

I love that my workouts are never the same.  Legitimately NEVER the same.  Yeah, you could do that with bodybuilding..but with CF I have to say that there is so much more variety.  Just my opinion

Adam, perhaps you might like to see some of those conditioning workouts too....you seem to like challenges

I have yet to see thousands of people sporting a "I am no-carb" T shirts  ;D

LOL if you decide to go for it TA, i'd say don't try to SPRINT at first. first two sets were nonstop, and things dropped catastrophically after that.

Agreed 100%.    Not hating at all on CF.    I think its a great idea for people to mix it up.  However - i do see some things i really question in terms of safety vs benefit ratio

no arguments here.  :P you got people who try to make shit up to be "different" or just to challenge themselves, but they do it in stupid ways. they'll try doing compound lifts standing on things or do something retarded like that picture i saw of two dudes doing thrusters with a barbell that had a girl dangling off of it (that gym got in SO much shit for that).

it's one of those things where if you can't defend "why" when doing something beyond "it's hard" then you're doing it wrong. my workouts are built around squats, cleans, pullups, and presses. other moves come into play for dynamic training.

is that jackie? damn, somehow that one passed me by. sure, fire the PDF at me, i'm always looking out for new shit to try.

and you nailed it on the variety. i love it because workouts change, and they're always in the pursuit of performance. i don't give a fig about how much my arms measure or my bodyfat percentage, but hitting a sub-3 fran or pulling 500 without a belt at under 200lb feels fan-effing-tastic.

Check out Spartan Race - tons of CF people do this.

I dont do Cf since the gym near me is $300 a month and I rather go to NYSC for $60 a month and do my thing instead.  Plus I also like going to the track lately and brining my battle rope, chains, kettlebells, cones, etc and just going at it

Hey Zach, I did the 100 reps with 225 on squats (1.25 time bodyweight) and finished somewhere between 25-27 minutes.  I bet you could have done just the 1.25 times bodyweight squats in 30 minutes without the pullups.  What do you think?

That sounds like too mucb damn prep work just to get a workout in.

On a side note I'm pretty sure I was hit on by a tranny at the gym today. And if I wasn't she thinks I'm a pig because I kept looking for a bulge, and she thinks I was staring at her twat.

Ummm....but you probably have seen 1,000's with the "Flag nor Fail" ones....right?   ;D

Hey, I look at that in the same way as the affliction shirts and the like.  People want to be a billboard for what they do in life.  Hell, tell me you didn't rock a T-Michael shit back in the day big guy?

Zach....I am proud of my PR's....

1:30 on a 500m row
175# Snatch
230# CJ
6:30 on Fran (pathetic...but still my best)
500# dead (at 44yo)

Oh...and Maddy....why label it?  Why not?

333333333333333386 : I don't do the group thing with CF.  I have my workout...and thats what I do.

Adam, here is one for you:

a) BW bench
b) Pullups (yes, strict)

5 Rounds....take as much time in between your sets as needed.  Each set to failure. Do one set of "a", rest as needed, "b", rest as needed, etc etc

Total your reps.

hard to say. i'm about 200, so we're talking 250x100. my gut tells me that ain't gonna happen, at least not without some time to really acclimate myself to that kinda workout. i'll keep that on the backburner though, once my squatting gets back to where i want it (it's kinda down now thanks to my back fucking up earlier this year) i might give it a go.

Krank, i gotta say those ain't bad. the fran does seem slow though, considering how good you were at the opens. which part slows you down, the pullups or the thrusters?

and waaaaaait a second. you get to rest as needed between the BW bench and pullups? motherf... THAT'S why my sets drop so hard after the first one.

Yep...there is nothing that says you can't rest 2 - 3 mins in between everything.  That's the workout called "Lynne".  My best is 145.
On Isabel it's 5:02,

Why so slow....its the damn front rack position on the thrusters.

Let me know if this doesnt work : http://www.sendspace.com/file/0nbahp

Yes....but i have an excuse.  They made an acid washed blueish/purple one and it made my eyes look freakishly green when i wore it, and that's why I bought it...HA.

For the rest periods, is the goal to be fully recovered in order to get max amount of reps?

Thats up to you.  I have not found anywhere that says you can't rest 5 mins.  Seriously.  Don't take it like you could rest 30 mins.  Personally I think the rest should be no more than 3 mins.

I do like the variety and challenge aspect to it.  It really does get boring doing the same things over and over again.  I figure might as combine all approaches.

I try as least rest as possible.  as soon as heart rate settles a bit - that is my judge.

It's just another diversion for generation nothingness...Instead of getting out into the world and producing tangible goods to improve America they retreat to (yet another) self improvement distraction.  The social media aspect helps them to stay insulated and cultish...and it encourages an equality of the sexes that emasculates men.

They should be pursuing engineering, mathematics, farming, and computer science to move humanity forward.  Instead they flop around on a bar like a hooked fish while their mediocre friends scream encouragement hoping to get laid.  The Chinese laugh at this and continue their march of dominance forward.
