Are 'Committee' Hearings Necessary Anymore?
« on: May 19, 2013, 10:56:49 AM »
The pattern repeats for both sides.

If they are with the POTUS, they use their time to grandstand and don't ask a single relevant question.

If they are against the POTUS, the only answers they ever get are, 'I don't know' and 'I can't remember'.

Probably be best just to spend their time issuing subpoenas and getting as many real facts as they can.

They are really just show trials, all show and no go. It always ends with someone taking all the blame, falling on their sword to protect those really responsible. Unless you're Hilary Clinton and go into the hearing, say all the blame/responsibility falls at your feat and then 5 minutes later say that it was your Deputy Assistant that is totally at fault for everything.

True.  Maybe if Congress started holding these douchebags in contempt and locking their asses up, their memories might improve?
