Was going to buy one last year, but instead opted for a classic Stingray Corvette. The Challenger will be my next vehicle, however.
It is going to be replaced by the Barracuda, on a much lighter platform.
The Challenger falls pretty far behind its rivals in terms of performance and material quality......BUT.....the car has soul, has looks, and commands attention the way that 'Stangs and Camaros could only dream about. You can also comfortably seat 4 adults in it as it is essentially a 2-door Charger.
You can get your hands on a used R/T in the low 20s. Use the rest of the money to forge those internals and slap on a supercharger and you'll have a beastly, fat, comfortable car all for still under 30k.
