They're the only living thing that loves you truly without an agenda....I prefer work group dogs, i.e. shepherds, dobbies, etc....but with small kids that was not an option right now. So I hunted down the bloodline I wanted and got him...
Grew up with a dog, he died I was crushed....then military, single couldn't take care of one....now I think I'll always have at least one maybe two.
Cons...expensive, sheds, slobbers, chews up expensive furniture and molding...requires constant attention, clumsy, sock and shoe fetish, garden destroyer, huge piles of dogshit.
Pros....he's family.
