Fucking Activision Blizzard!! They had LCDs sitting on moving robotic arms... Terminator style.

I hate them.

I loved World of Warcraft and Diablo though... And my love of Black Ops is secretive so don't tell anyone.

There was a pretty large Tyrael statue from Diablo III.

There is a Diablo III expansion on it's way.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

I didn't see anything playable, but I will probably check it out for Nostalgia.

New "World of Tanks"

There will be a "Southpark: The Stick of Truth" game... Looks kind of cool.

Disney's infinity looked very very interesting... They basically took a bunch of different types of games and stuffed it into one title.

Huge world... You have puzzles, fighters, insane goofyness... 3rd person shooters all with the Disney / Pixar vibe. I can see many many hours of play in this.

Ninja Gaiden Z

I don't know why, but none of the NG games have been as fun as the old Nintendo versions to me.

DC universe Online has apparently started making some bank with the "free to play" model and they have another expansion in the works.

They also have a new game coming called "Infinite Crisis". It looked like DC universe meets League of Legends... Yes I will be playing this shit.

People said that Nintendo wasn't coming to E3 this year and that they were doing their "own thing". Those people are some lying mother fuckers.

Nintendo just decided not to hold their own press conference at E3 this year, that's all.

They had a pretty huge booth actually. Lots of Wii U stuff... The 3DS is of course their big seller (I really should get one... No one cares about the Vita.) Zelda the Wind Waker HD remix for Wii U... A new Donkey Kong Country. I wonder if the Wii U will see a price drop for Christmas... Might be a good time to pick one up for less.

Of course the obligatory Mario statue has to be there... This one is for Super Mario 3D world and that's Princess Peach in the background... That bitch is always in another castle though... She's kind of a whore like that.

Here is the Microsoft booth...

Battlefield 4 was demoed on the Xbox One. They also had Forza and a ton of BCD stuff that you can't photograph.

Oddly enough, the line for "Rome" wasn't that big considering the hype... I think it's going to end up a fail already... We shall see.

Lots of people trying to get their hands on the Xbox One and see what it can do... I personally don't care about "Glass" or any of the other stuff and I REALLY hate that you have to pay 10 bucks a month for Xbox Live Gold just to use your netflix account that you already have... That's 120 bucks a year to watch shit you already pay for?!?!?!?!

But nothing compares to Sony...

This booth was ridiculous!! 1/3 larger than Microsoft and packed EVERYWHERE... No doubt that Sony was the big winner. Their DRM announcement, the fact that PSN Plus is only 5 bucks a month... Their exclusives... Yeah... This year Sony stole a lot of thunder.

That said, I still claim AMD as the real winner because everyone is using ATI as their video... When you are getting a sale of ANY console... you're doing ok.

As a little side bonus, I stopped off at "Into The Pixel"... Some history.

Every year, Into The Pixel looks at all Artwork that is done for gaming... Whether it's pre-production, in game, post work, whatever... They pick the best and then put it on display for the world... It goes into a book and is basically put into the Into The Pixel Museum.

It's pretty cool.

This piece was done right here at my studio in LA.

Best is very relative to be honest.

For me, I like the PS4... But I'm looking at cost, what I use it for, what I want my console to do/have etc.

I look at the whole picture.

If you're talking raw power... Then it's so damn close you can't tell the difference... The PS4 is "slightly" more powerful, but that doesn't always mean anything. The Xbox is basically a Virtual Box running a windows 8 kernel and a proprietary OS that will allow for a second App to run in a window while playing a game. The Windows OS allows for Devs to easily work on a PC... do their thing and then port it to the Xbox One with very little issue. It really allows Devs to focus on some things that they otherwise couldn't because of taking the time to get the port working. It really does save on Dev costs as well... You don't have to buy a bunch of Xbox Durango Dev kits.

These time wastes can all factor into the game look and feel. Part of why "exclusives" are usually so good is because they only have to focus on the single platform... There's not time wasted on porting and multiplatform development.

I feel the PS4 is the way to go personally, but that's just me.
