That guy is such a smarmy smartass I wonder why they have him out front talking to anyone.  I have never seen a backlash as big as the one Microsoft has created and anyone who thinks their sales aren`t going to be impacted are fooling themselves.

Yes, absolutely... It was easy to see how much busier the Sony booth was and I truly can only interpret that as a sign that people liked the way Sony wanted to do business.

The pictures speak for themselves... Yes, the MS booth was busy... It's the year of the new console, so it's expected, but the Sony booth was 33% larger and literally wall to wall people. You were running into people non-stop.

i dont like the having to be online all time aspect its a bit dictorial and clearly to suit the company

I do too, but the Xbox is always plugged into the internet.  They just don't play multiplayer.  Do you physically unplug the console?

There are many people in the country who do not have high speed internet access still.

The US is a very large place and I'd say about 40% (rough estimate) of the US doesn't have access to DSL / Cable / Fios. They can get Satellite, but Satellite internet prices are insanely retarded.

Oh yeah I know (wife is involved in media/advertising).  I was just getting bigmc's thoughts.  I don't necessarily like everything I'm hearing, but none of it is a dealbreaker by any means, especially the used games stuff.

I do not think that any singular thing would be a huge deal for some, but you add it all up and you've made some people angry... Gamers are a finicky bunch.

Best is very relative to be honest.

For me, I like the PS4... But I'm looking at cost, what I use it for, what I want my console to do/have etc.

I look at the whole picture.

If you're talking raw power... Then it's so damn close you can't tell the difference... The PS4 is "slightly" more powerful, but that doesn't always mean anything. The Xbox is basically a Virtual Box running a windows 8 kernel and a proprietary OS that will allow for a second App to run in a window while playing a game. The Windows OS allows for Devs to easily work on a PC... do their thing and then port it to the Xbox One with very little issue. It really allows Devs to focus on some things that they otherwise couldn't because of taking the

time to get the port working. It really does save on Dev costs as well... You don't have to buy a bunch of Xbox Durango Dev kits.

These time wastes can all factor into the game look and feel. Part of why "exclusives" are usually so good is because they only have to focus on the single platform... There's not time wasted on porting and multiplatform development.


I feel the PS4 is the way to go personally, but that's just me.

But I also agree with Tu that gamers can be finicky, and it could possibly add up, but I'm not sure at this point.   I don't see what Sony has done that's very groundbreaking or different.

most of my friends play cod on line on xbox thats why i first bought one

when we all started having kids we swapped nights out for beers at home and giving each other shit online

We're in the same boat.  I loved my PS2, but was given an XBox by a co worker.  End up watching baseball games while being on Live! with my brother who lived cross country.  It was like he was there.

Then, kids, and lots of multiplayer interaction.  Most of these guys are hardcore gamers - they mod/import games from Japan/ know all the industry stuff, and they will get all the consoles.  But they mutli on Xbox, so that's where I am.

I will buy both systems like usual but will get non-exclusive games for PS4 since I am a gamefly member and don't buy games. I'll just buy exclusives for the Xbox One. I am really fucking excited for November when these systems come out (assuming PS4 comes out then too)
