Get to know the guys with the jobs you want.  Make friends with them.  Tell them what you are interested in doing.  Opportunities can arise this way.

I suspect most people get a job, and then keep it, by regularly blowing their boss.  They don't have any knowledge or skills or enthusiasm that would recommend them for the position they're pretending to fill, so I figure they must give great head.
