I live with a guy who was successfully unemployed for around 7 years, got in an arts degree and has been successfully a "student" of miscellaneous subjects (none of which raise his income potential) for 3 years, now.

Do I envy him?  Slightly, as I am about to depart for work this morning - but the dude is going nowhere in life and will go nowhere.  It must be a source of frustration for him.

How is being unemployed like that successful? The only thing he was succesful at is stealing our money with the government being the accomplice.

I make $45 an hour to have my hands on semi naked/naked (on occasion) women, so no, I don't envy those on unemployment. Not at all.

Working gives you a sense of accomplishment, and purpose in life, but that quickly can turn sour when your effort is not reflected in wages.

Would i rather do labour work for $10.25/hr, or collect unemployment, watch youtube vids, movies, read, workout, and hangout with bitches?

I think the answer is obvious.

Nobody wants to live in poverty...There are not enough real jobs in the world to go around for every single human on earth...Most people in poverty are mental ill one way or another or the country(society) they live in his mentally ill...

I like the idea of the work week going from 40 to 32 hours to lower the unemployment rate.

Live on pennies

Cant afford to own and run a car

no woman repect or desire them

never own their own house and have to live in shitty council houses or little bedsits like method101

have to sit with some little homo at the jobcentre as they tell them what pathetic humiliating low paid jobs to apply for.

That's why I prefer living in a big city with a good underground/metro network.

So convenient to travel and much less stress and expenses.

not in the slightest. was on unemployment for a few months, hated every day of it. gotta stretch the budget thin, you feel like a piece of shit and don't want to hang out with your employed friends, the days all start to blend together into one big depressing mass, you feel guilty as fuck spending money on anything fun because you know you didn't earn it.

that's just me, anyway. i'm way happier working.
