
Whats really funny, our methods are just now starting to be touted by the likes of Layne Norton. Every single post he makes these days is "Calories Deficit is all that matters".
I used to fight with him and was even banned on a message board he was on for saying that to him.
Sometimes people are slow. What can you do? 
What bitch-ass board was that? Did he have mod powers or something?
I disagree on your theory as a whole, but I can't dispute it works for some people like yourself.
I still don't have a big appetite since I started training again, but I typically get in 2 solids and a shake. I have 5.5-6 oz of ground beef with 50-60 grms of carbs from instant brown rice and a salad for my last meal most nights. Last week, I noticed I had some mac and cheese in the cupboard and thought it sounded good. I divided into three meals, which the box says is 54 grams of carbs each. The next morning I weighed 2 lbs more. By the morning after the 3rd night of beef with mac and cheese I was up 4lbs vs. the nights I'd been doing beef & rice, and one of those days I only had a shake and that meal. Clearly, all carbs/calories are not the same for me regardless of type.
