Very upsetting. I loved the Sopranos and loved him.  :'(

As it happens, he did have a history of alcohol and drug abuse... the Sopranos crew used to party quite hard. Plus being around 300 pounds probably didn't help.

Still, a crying shame. He leaves two children behind.

He did an excellent independent film three years ago called Welcome to the Rileys. Really worth watching. A diamond in the rough.

Great interview, would have been even better if it ended with James rising from his chair and bitch slapping Lipton for being such a dour, pretentious old fuck.

now that he is gone, I will watch some of these recent films, in which he starred in larger or smaller roles.

That's a real shame, like everyone one else I was quite shocked when I heard the news this morning, he was a damn fine actor, the sopranos is one of the finest TV shows ever made and he was the cornerstone of that show, a sad day, he reached immortality status by playing Tony Soprano. Gone but not forgotten.

Rest In Peace.

Sad day...

Although I never met the man, I did become fond of him by way of his work through the Sopranos. His face and on-screen depiction of Tony Soprano became a staple that I had seen on TV since the late 90's.

He was much too young to pass.

According the news, he did go with his boots on: Some great italian food, hotel toilet and some degree of constipation was too much to his heart. Great man dough, and Sopranos was great series. Furthermore, that series was inspiration for one my favorite series of cigars, CAO Sopranos. Damn good cigars...Maybe I smoke one just to respect his memory..
