Well I happen to be one of these who relies on an SSRI. Low dose for General Anxiet Disorder, it helps a lot. I have had issues with being overly anxious my entire life, that's part of the reason I started lifting and hitting the iron , it gave me a positive way to deal with anxiety. When I first started seeing a physician about a decade ago in my early twenties all they wanted to do is shove xanax down my throat and tell me to relax, but eventually I got a descent doc who found the right drug and it helps 20 mg Lexipro daily, I still stay anxious but it's bearable. If any of you have any serious insight on ways to deal with it without meds I'm open to suggestions anytime. For me taking a daily med is kinda like a leash it seems but it's better than walking around half cocked all the time. No homo on the half-cocked phrase
