Did Obama write and pass the NDAA ?

Unemployment ?  Really?  Have you forgotten the Stimulus, the various bailouts, tax breaks, etc.. and the actual unemployment #'s

Obamacare - the results are yet to be seen but the exchanges will most likely reduce the cost of healthcare and requiring everyone to have healthcare (though many will fall below the income threshold for a penalty if they don't have it) will likely bring costs down

He signed it.

Unemployment is still bad and hasn't improved much.  Even though we spent all we did.

We will have to see on Obamacare.  like i said, no one can seem to really say either way.  although for what its worth, mine went up 16% 2 month ago.

So far, the only thing that's gone up for me is my payroll tax, which is bullshit anyway.

The government took that money and STILL furloughed... fuck that shit.

Fire 1/2 the government and give me my god damn money back.

good point

My local Whole Foods does a one day sale each Friday
Last week they had grass fed New York Strip steak on sale for half price

I think I will go complain to the manager about why they raised the prices since it's now back to it's original price after the 1 day sale

That's a market price... Market dictating prices for a day/week/whatever.

The government just chose to take your money and you can't CHOOSE to shop anywhere else (They take it if you leave the country too)

I like how you will not answer my question.

Right on par with yours.

Answer the question of why you are so ok with the government taking your money and wasting it away.

it's got nothing to do with the market

they have one item on a super low sale price every Friday

a few weeks ago it was pints of blueberries for 99 cents

the day before the sale they was 3.99 and the day after the sale they were 3.99

since is was 99 cent for 24 hours I guess I can go in an complain that they raised the prices

The government gave you and temporary reduction in your payroll tax.  It was called a temporary reduction at that time

It's the equivalent to a one day sale at whole foods except it was only supposed to last for a year but was extended for 2 years

I can't leave the country and have them stop taking my money, they take it if you're overseas too.

Your response doesn't really add up, and you STILL won't answer my question.

BTW, Fuck whole foods, they should call it "whole pay check" lol.  Better to shop organic farmers markets.

absolutely

but if you went in to complain about higher prices because the one day sale was over you would look like an idiot

what does a temporary discount of the payroll tax have to do with the government "taking and wasting" your money

I'd like the government to not take my money and then give tax credits to oil companies or spend it on the Office of Faith Based Initiatives or bullshit wars based on bogus intelligence.

the payroll tax goes for none of that stuff

Actually, a lot of it is quite nebulous in what it's used for.

The Federal Withholding tax that went up has no exact defined usage. As it's not SS or Medicare.

Of course.   That's why I started the sentience with "by the way".  I just don't care for whole foods.

The fact remains however, nothing really changed as a result of "big government sale"

Correct. It goes into a "General Fund."

There is no Social Security Trust Fund anymore, that changed with LBJ in the 1960's.

Too bad this Snowden guy was probably doing the right thing. Since when is telling people about illegal spying activities called spying?

I wouldn't call this guy much of a "Hacker" either... He only told everyone it was him.

Hackers stay anonymous. This guy is a fucking US patriot.
