The announcers are partly responsible for this misnomer that Alvarez has one punch KO power to begin with.

This.

won 42 (KO 30) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 1

won 44 (KO 26) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0

Their KO stats are almost identical.  Without looking up Canelo's fight history, I'd say most of his KOs are early in his career like FMW.  When I've watched him, he's more of a high pressure fighter, which isn't concern for FMW, because he needs an opponent to dictate the fight for his counter game to work.  Canelo is no Thomas Hearn.  And I don't think  he's a banger with hand speed like Berto, another guy FMW and Manny have avoided.

If Canelo can muster good combos it might be an interesting fight

You made sense until the Hearns comment.  Then totally fuck'd up w/ the Berto one.  Berto sucks-there's nobody, especially Floyd or Pac avoiding that dude.

I'm sure I can find one if you can find me an example of Canelo's devastating one punch power.

Baldomir?  Really?

I already addressed the Trout fight.  Try again.

I was at the fight.  The one time Canelo wobbled him was w/ a jab-which was more of a freak reaction by Trout than anything.  Hardly indicative of a display of power.  The announcers are partly responsible for this misnomer that Alvarez has one punch KO power to begin with.

Bit incorrect. Trout threw a jab which Canelo countered with a 1-2, with the cross sending Trout staggering all over the place with giraffe legs.

Baldomir?  50 year old Baldomir that isn't a natural 154lb Baldomir?  That's your proof of Canelo's power?  Cmon get real.

That's the only way I can describe Trout's Judah light dance.  Hell, even Canelo couldn't believe it.

If he's so devastating of a puncher why didn't he finish him then?

Trout dusted himself off and took Canelo 12.

Nicademus brother, if Canelo connects clean on Mayweather, most likely Mayweather will be down and possibly out.

Canelo can hurt ANY Jr middleweight in the world, he has power bro, now all time great power probably not, but he can crack.

I just don't think it's even remotely possible that Canelo gets the opportunity to land clean on Mayweather.

But......that's why they fight.  I'm still excited to be there no matter what.

Dude stop it

Mike Tyson   couldn't  finish  Buster Douglas  after the knock down , Matthysse couldn't finish  Alexander  or Judah , Maidana couldn't finish  glass jaw Amir Khan ........................ ........................ .......

your logic =stupid

What's stupid is you comparing Canelo's power w/ Tyson and Matthysse-who doubts their power?  Canelo's track record consists of not being able to finish off blown up junior middleweights.  His history bears it out.

Canelo has a stiff hard jab too, will be key for any success. He Showed some decent head movement in the Trout fight, stamina is lacking though.

The fight interests me.
