Thinking, Fast and Slow is a good book. You might want to look at Alex Voorhoeve's
Conversations on Ethics (ch. 3) for an informative interview he did with Kahneman concerning the role heuristics, i.e., mental short cuts, and the "framing effect" play in arriving at judgments.
