Nutmeg is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, Johnny.  It's also very popular in Dutch cuisine.

i find it interesting that all these things to consume on this planet some seemingly optimal and subpar depending upon who you ask. Now here we got semi-drugs another option, we axe why is this so, why am i presented with this choice, semi-drugs seems like a luring tactic another 'gateway drug' but if nutmeg is considerd a semi-drug by the great malcon x then we have no choice but to research further the properties, in actuality all of only need a "semi-boost" to reach our goals, most of us are not that far off but cant seem to find that little edge we need.

its as if the creators are experimenting to see what we will do with the many options of things to consume on the planet, if consumeing wasnt importantly intended by the creator to ponder about then there would be only one choice of something to consume, how ever there are many choices and things to consider

Nutmeg is a MAO-inhibitor Dr. Falcon.

MAO-inhibitors are Anti-Depressants.

Johnny, there is an enzyme called monoamine oxidase that removes certain chemical transmitters from the brain. The particular chemicals that monoamine oxidase works on include: serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine.

MAO-inhibitors stops this from occuring (stops the monoamine oxidase from removing those chemical transmitters aforementioned) and that in turn allows for more of these chemical transmitters to be available.

As a result, you have more of the happy chemicals (serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine) floating in your brain, thus leading to less depression and more "happy times".

I know many things Johnny, but I prefer to be a resource.

If there is something I can be of assistance to you with, I will gladly chime in, but otherwise it might look like gloating and others might find it rude.

i mix a heaping tablespoon of cinnamon and tablespoon of nutmeg with a protien poweder in milk works great. since it works on serotonin keeping it from being oxidized it seems i am able to do more reps!

Johnny,

By the way, I don't use any nutmeg. I just know about its other properties, but have never tried it for mood enhancement.

then you are lacking knowledge if you havent tried this sustance, you have to try this substance many wars and battles were fought over it in the 1500's around that time. There is a reason why this spice was saught after and it aint just taste

it gives you a slight edge

you can only 'track' a slight edge in your training if you do the same weight and same exercise everyday, your progress is more trackable that way. you could do a squat + a curl or do a squat followed by a pushup for reps

Nutmeg was the first thing I got high off of. I was in my final couple years of the Air Force. I'd heard about people getting high off nutmeg. I ate a tablespoon of freshly grounded nutmeg with a huge glass of milk. You will choke and die without fluids. I hallucinated and never did it again. It took a while for it to happen.
