You're right, didn't have to happen. Owner should have rolled the windows up

You are saying that the cops were right in arresting him for video taping them?

Yes. The Police were right. Nobody wants to hear this because because nobody likes police to begin. This guy wasnt arrested for video tapping the police. There is no crime for video tapping police. However if you happpen to film something that could be used as evidence while your tapping the police then they can sieze your phone, camera, whatever.

But lets break this down a little bit further. This guy goe beyond filming he is actually interferring with those officers, which is a crime.

All of the other people who were filming were on the other side of the street, farther away from the cops and not bothering the cops with their bullshit.

Now you have this dumbass who see's a bunch of cops doing something fairly large scale (Tank, machine guns, multiple patrol cars, large perimeter etc...) And he thinks to himself "Gee this would be a perfect time to walk up on those cops with my rotweiller and start talkin shit. Im going to cross the street to get closer to them, walk around their police cars and talk shit until I get arrested. It doesnt matter that I instigate this whole thing, I'm going to acuse them of violating my rights!"

This is textbook IPO, otherwise known as interferring with a police officer.

Now... as to shooting the dog, again justified. The laws of reasonable force do not apply to animals....if they  did there would never be any hunting season. But while dip shit is being arrested does he make any effort to controlo his dog? Nope, he doesnt say shit to the dog, he doesnt try to control it at all. He knew what was comming, the people who were filming knew what was comming, everyone knew what was comming. A big ass rotwieller  tries to bite a cop, guess what happens next.

In the end the guy faces a misdemeanor charge and was out in a few hours. He got what he was looking for. Criminal trials and civil trials arent judged the same way, so he will probably plea to an obstructing justice crime and then win 25G in the civil suite.

How was he "interfering"?

The actual incident was at least 1/3 of a block down the street. As a matter of fact, the cops had to walk back to him PAST their cars to put the cuffs on him... He also had to walk BACK towards them when called.

So where did he "interfere"?

If owner had taken time to roll window up they would have probably charged him with trying to avoid arrest or some such BS.  FU.  They harassed that dude and his dog was trying to make sure he was OK.  That is a good dog.  YOU are a bad dog.

They harassed this dude!??? Are you fucking kidding me. Jessus fucking christ some of you are so easily misled. You will believe anything the headline says, even when your eyes tell you something different.

This fucking asshole is walking around their patrol cars with a rotwieller.. this causes a distraction, not just to the cops but bystanders who stop to record HIM. The point is cops have to stop what their doing to deal with his dumbass.

If anything this fucktard harassed the cops. They were minding theor own business.  Have any of you ever been doing your job or anything else for that matter and been subject to some random asshole instigating you and then filming your reaction?

EXACTLY my point.  That dude probably works for the "federal family."   Do you know what that means?  In their minds, if you are not in the federal family you are not their equal.  If you die, it's not so important.

I answered.

Here it goes again.

Read it this time.

He caused enough of a distraction and concern that they had to stop their official capacity and deal with him. Thats interference. He was on the perimeter and walking around their patrol cars. They had to leave their post to deal with him.

Notice how no one else who was filming got arrested?

I hate having to explain this shit to you children. You're so ignorant of the law, It's like Ihave to first teach you in order to discuss it with you.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with his loud mouthed attitude, it had nothing to do with his proximity to the crime scene. It had nothing to do with him walking his rotwieller around the perimeter. Thats why the other people who were filming got arrested, right? Assface.

What distraction?

You're really just making up nebulous bullshit to justify it actually.

Him walking back and forth video taping is a distraction? If that's the case, then every news crew in america is causing a distraction all of the time and should be arrested.

They aren't.

Your answer has no merit what so ever.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with his loud mouthed attitude, it had nothing to do with his proximity to the crime scene. It had nothing to do with him walking his rotwieller around the perimeter. Thats why the other people who were filming got arrested, right? Assface.

Why would walking your dog at least 1/3 of a block away from a scene have anything to do with anything.

As a matter of fact, as I have previously stated, had you desired to read MY post (which obviously you didn't).

"As a matter of fact, the cops had to walk back to him PAST their cars to put the cuffs on him... He also had to walk BACK towards them when called."

So there was certainly no "interference" as you put it.

They had to come BACK to the guy.

In the end this just makes them look really bad.  So why not make a smart judgment call and tell the so called menace to put his dog back in the car. All they have done now is created a huge uproar when there are far more important issues for them to deal with.

Three police officers in Hawthorne, California, have been removed from their patrol this week after a video captured them arresting a man who was recording them, then shooting the man’s dog. A spokesperson for the police department says the decision is for the officers’ safety.
Earlier this week, video of the arrest of Leon Rosby and the death of Max the Rotweiler went viral, leading to apparent death threats against the officers involved. Police shot the dog a total of four times after it lunged at them while they were handcuffing Rosby. The police department claims that the killing was justified, but Rosby has filed a complaint alleging it was not.
Watch it. WARNING — GRAPHIC:

Police say they arrested Rosby for blasting music and interfering with a police investigation. Rosby says he was recording the scene “to make sure nobody’s civil rights were being violated.” While it is illegal to record someone without their consent in the state of California, the state does have an “expectation of privacy” provision in its law that, as Gizmodo reports, “courts have ruled does not apply to on-duty police.” It is not clear whether Rosby’s actions would be considered illegal under this law, but it seems likely he was within his legal rights to record the officers.
A Change.org petition calling for the arrest and prosecution of the police officers has garnered over 86,000 signatures.
A spokesperson for the department said that the threats against the officers amount to, “We are going to kill you and your family because of this incident.” The center that receives any call into the Hawthorne Police Department reports a jump up from 10 to 75 calls an hour.
Video evidence has become a boon in identifying incidents of police brutality. Earlier this week, police in New Jersey were put under investigation after a video captured them kicking and dragging around a handcuffed men. In another recent case also involving a dog, police were caught on tap choking a black teenager who they said was giving them a “dehumanizing” stare while carrying a newborn puppy down the street.

Ok, bottom line....The officers in this case are legally justified. That is why no charges will ever be brought against any of them. The merits of this arrest will be determined by the courts. There is certainly enough probable cause to substantitate the arrest. Wether or not it is beyond a reasonable doubt is up to the court.

But ask yourselves this: are you so pissed because the dog was shot? or because this guy was arrested?

The dog, is a shame, but the officer was justified in shooting it. Cop doesnt have to be bit and reasonable force does not apply to animals.

The guy here is an asshole, does anyone have any real heart ache over this guy going to jail for a few hours? The others who were filming, started by filming HIM, because he was being an ass. He was causing a scene. Just ask yourselves why the others who were filming wernt arrested? It kind of removes the whole "The cops were just pissed because someone was filming them" argument.

Let the record speak for itself. No DA will bring charges against these cops.
