Wow. I think that's more of a parental thing. Mr Rogers taught to believe in yourself and do the best that you can, not that you were entitled to anything. My parents did the same... They taught me that i could do (most) anything I wanted if I worked hard enough, but they were careful to teach me that certain things would still take an extraordinary person and that no one would (or should) give me shit that I didn't earn.

This was quite a few years ago but Mr Rogers was a great guy and it was pretty bad for them to talk shit about him long after he passed away.  Fox got a lot of flack over that

It's the parents fault that young people think they are entited. Spoiled brats with spoiled brat parents. Americans have become fat, lazy, ignorant, flip flop wearing trash. PS a big boost came from the the self- esteem movement. "You don't know that Thomas Jefferson was a US president, not a black TV character? Thats's ok Jimmy, you are still special!"  Or "Sally, it is beautiful that you are 300 lbs and just painted your toenails and tatooed your ankle- you are so sexy now!"  They built up false self esteem by saying all kids are equally -- smart, attractive, funny, -fill in the blank.

People are in for a rude awakening, when the coming generations will simply not be able to accumulate wealth like the generations before them.
