So I took my 6 y/o and 8y/o to there first swim classes of the summer which is taught by a bunch of people in there late teens and very early twenties that are lifeguards from the local university and I was absolutely disgusted at the shape these people where in, no a single one would be considered physically fit. My state happens to be a fat one.

We just have to much money and giant super markets that are packed with crap. In the US it seems anyone with a house has two refrigerators. One in the kitchen and one in the garage seems to be the norm. Go to any other country and their food stores in their house are small and have few choices. Food in the house is not stored like you're waiting for the zombie apocalypse. In the US we walk no where except slowly on a treadmill. In so many countries people are walking all the time.

Another thing for guys is American football. I can't count how many times I have watched a game with a fat slob who says that football player is the same height and weight as I am. Fat delusional guys see linemen and feel they are just big football types instead of fat slobs.

When I was on swim team as a kid, there were like 30 of us and only one or two people were fat.

If you go to the pool now (20 years later) even the life guards are fat as fuck. If I was to hit my head on the diving board and sink, there's now way these fat fuckers could save me. I have no clue how they even pass the test.
