Very true. Apart from a few good brands, there's a serious regression going on with most equipment lines.

Nothing will compare to the early 90's Icarian, FLEX and Bodymaster stuff or the 80’s Nautilus and Cybex.

Those chains, on the weights, are not to remind Russians of the slave labor camps, so guessing a lot of theft around there. Or their working on the 'increased resistance over distance' training principle, with using the chains.

Lot of strongmen and BB'ers have gotten great results with crude, really basic lifting equipment. A basic BB, DB, chinning & dipping bar, with the correct program, have given minor miracles to a lot of people over the years..

Think there making exercise machines just to be making exercise machines these days. From what I see, anyway. Original Nautilus has been copied many many times, but never matched, because of their patten cam gear.
