Game ends with Maranhão player murdered and Referee Dismembered

A soccer game in Maranhão, Brazil, ended in a very unusual way.The referee showed the red card to a player. The player got mad, swore at the referee and then kicked him. The referee, then, grabbed a HUNTING KNIFE from his belt and stabbed the player in the chest. The infuriated crowd invaded the field, tied up the referee, assaulted and QUARTERED HIM and stuck his head in a pole.

It says the player got a red flag, so he kicked the ref. The ref pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed the player. The crowd went nuts, dismembered him, and I guess they put his head on this pole......

Damn!!!
They take their games a little too seriously...and the ref took being kicked too seriously. The kick didn't warrant a knife to the chest, and that neither warranted being killed, dismembered and having one's head on a pole.

Brazil has a 6 month tournament, which crowns a national amateur champion or something of that nature. A lot of the games are on dirt (unofficial fields and stadiums). The fans are ape shit, and refs will run off of the field at the ending whistle literately, have been assaulted for red and yellow cards. Most of the games are in the Amazon, but I'm sure qualifiers to get your team and queen (Brazilians have to have a Queen for everything.) take place in other cities. Marahao is near Belem, which I visited when I worked in Rio, and Belem had football tournaments around the city. I didn't see the video. Teams usually have uniforms but refs are sometimes in normal shorts and a tee.

Seriously, let's take one of the poofiest sports on the planet and have the fans become some of the most violent morons on earth....what am I missing here? Who cares if "celebrity soccer star" Jorge Rodriguez (or whatever the name is) gets a red card?!! It's freakin, poofy soccer LOL! A delicate sport of shorty shorts, shin guards, running and kicking a ball. 3 and 4 year old girls play soccer and pick flowers and skip in place while the game is in play....the boys do it too LOL!!

What's next, fans of golf are gonna begin rioting and hanging each other when golfers double bogey?
