I bet he is not the only one who wished Phil was the coach.

Well I guess it's a good thing LA didn't re-hire Phil.  If they did, they would have trusted the future of the franchise to an overrated child.

The Lakers dodged a bullet in spite of themselves this time.

Quickly begins the downward spiral of Dwight Howard.

Out of the league in 5 yrs or less.

Lakers actually will be a better team.

forget this coming year, they have no room to sign anyone, and no one wants Gasol or Artest, financially the lakers are stuck. Its ok they just to let it ride for a year then all these old fucks come off the books and will have a lottery pick in a great draft (apparently) and you got heaps of talent on the free agent market.

Howard will crumble, honestly fuck howard, his a baby, this is why shaq digs on him all the time, howard wants to be treated like a superstar but has done nothing to earn it, this is why kobe said "Let me teach you how to be a champion" it sound arrogant but its very true.

Howard will be a failure, his upside is his athletic and thats all. the Houston centre Asik is asking for the Rockets to trade him.

In Howards defence, fuck LA for sticking with mike dantoni, what a great way to ruin a franchise, a run and gun coach for a team with gasol, artest, meeks and kobe..LOL

Everyone says "Lakers have history" well thats in the past, Dr Buss passed away and it look like the franchise will be run to the ground by his kids.
Shaq should shut the fuck up too and have some class, the fat fuck. I remember watching the Lakers win when he was there, i remember him being a huge liability, Horry, Ron harper, Kobe bailed him out countless times.
lets not forget in Miami when he got another ring, Shaq was useless, I remember Wade, James Posey, Antoine Walker and Alonzo doing great work to get by the Mavs, Alonzo replaced Oneal in the 4th quarter.

Shaq forgot how to block shots and rebound and became a journeyman.

Howard will never be like shaq was with Orlando and LA but he can use shaq to motivate himself.

The Lakers dodged a bullet in spite of themselves this time.

Coach D'Antoni cost the Lakers a healthy Kobe Bryant and a coveted big man, who would've been a great trade asset - OR a key piece to help lure LeBron in 2014 - if he'd re-signed.

How much more damage do you want D'Antoni to do?

Imagine Lakers 2014...

Kobe finally back, GH'd to the gills.
LeBron arriving in town ready for title #3.
#1 draft pick Wiggins ready to rock LA
7 or 8 top veterans begging for a shot at a ring for minimal dollars...

And Phil Jackson returns to town ;)

LOL. they barely made it this year.

just let kobe get burnt out, let him retire and then go to the lottery and sign carmelo (his overrated but his pretty good at scoring)
Gasol, kobe, artest will be free then, the Buss family can say Thank you to them and move on.

Kobe needs to realise his fucking this team up by staying but the $$ is too good to walk away from.

Steven A smith said this morning that next season when lebron is a free agent , he would seriously entertain the offer from the lakers , big reason why LeBron has yet to resign a contract with the HEAT, he wants to try the free agent market again

I do that myself a lot :) So I'm okay with it.  Sometimes the media WRITES the news in sports too.

Stephen A will put this out there.  Fans will tweet it.  Lebrons people willl read it, as will the lakers front office.  lebrons people will quietly hint they're open to it, and the lakers will remind us just how much $ is available come 2014.  The result will be Stephen A's shit-talking becoming a reality.

And we all know it's more fun to BUILD something than to maintain it.  if the heat lose in round 1 or 2 and Bosh/Wade suck and aren't traded, I could see LeBron listening long and hard to offers.

I stated this was reported earlier this year, playing for the lakers is like playing for the Dallas cowboys, I would have to respect lebron if he comes to LA

I think even Lebron won't know what he'll do until next season ends.

Wade still hurt, Bosh still a punk... and they lose in 1st round to CHI next year... lebron bolts.

If rose sucks, Knicks ball hog and pacers underachieve... and the HEAT win the three-peat, NO WAY Lebron leaves town... he'll be on a MISSION to get that FOUR-PEAT and pwn every michael jordan comaprision he's ever hard to hear ;)
