Where I live, a person wouldn't survive very long without a steady income as rent is pretty high.   I own a home, but in terms of renting apartments or houses, a person where I live would be looking at at least $1300 a month for a crappy apartment, and at least $1600 a month to rent a house.

I'm not sure.  He's saying that he destroyed a SIM card out of fear that his 9-5 cubicle job in Cuba is important enough that the company would try to track him down via satellite or something.

Hoping the company has ties to foreign security and that he's a double agent or something.  Or may a jedi.  Or a double agent who is a jedi...that plays baseball for Cuban national team, and sometimes uses the force to his advantage on field, even though all his training tells him it's wrong....but the allure of MLB and escaping a third world communist regime is too strong,  and he can make us feel the internal conflict.

Well unless unemployment is completely different in Cuba, it's based on years of service. For example, the percentage of your pay you get goes up the longer you are employed there. So in your case, you should get about $25. a week. Good plan.

I'm in Calgary, Canada.  Average house price here is over $500k.  You won't find many people here being able to sit around not working and still pay their rents/mortgages.

well i own an appartment and didnt loan so much


695 USD / 500 EUR / 18375 CUP per month includes monthly mortgage and building maintenance costs as well as electricity and water


so i dont need much money pretty much

I feel disappointed and disgusted with myself somewhat about this decision. It can probably fuck up my life even more.


But fuck that traffic was making me want to kill myself


also, I feel a bit scammed with my contract, they said they would put in the contract after 6 months i would get automatic raise

but then i was there the first day, he show me the contract, and no mention of this salary matter


he tells me "oh it's not in the contract but you can rely on me, after all you have the emails about this"

i felt fucking scammed but signed anyway because he caught me off guard and I was already there on my first day (this is probably part of his strategy, normally you sign a contract in advance some days)

then I find out this bastardo is driving company paid mercedes CLA shiny car and it tells me he has a big fat salary and he want to scam me out of 300 euros per month  as if i'm not poor enough


oh well

not sure what I am gonna do next in this tragedy called "life"
