yeah i would use less water. typically for basmati ppl use 2 water : 1 rice, but i think that's too much.
makes sense that it was clumped up from resting tho, i thought you had just finished cooking it.
saute chopped garlic, onion, sun dried tomato for a couple of minutes. add some extra oil, season (salt, pepper, crushed red pepper), throw rice in and break it apart with spoon. while it sizzles for another few min, slice up the chicken and throw it in. mix, plate, chop some green onions on top. delicious, and refrigerates well (grains wont clump up cause of the oil)!
