When I stopped watching wrestling he seemed to be one of the WWE's golden children, so the pay seems fitting... Comparable to Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold during the Attitude years.

From my time around the WCW guys in Atlanta, I know the average jobber starts in at about 75K a year. Mid Card guys at about 150K. Once you hit star status and build up main events and merchandise selling power, your salary goes up. Highly doubt that figure was just for wrestling alone. Most likely it included all the earnings for the merchandise he sells and for starring in that movie the WWE just put out with him in it.

He's pretty much in the main event every PPV and on 1 or both shows every week. So 3+ mill a year sounds fitting.

How about $160,000 after taxes? Look at his burn rate with houses, cars, jewelry, etc. Now, add in the ex-wife and child support. This dude is broke in 5 years NFL style.

Highly doubt his written contract says $3M. Remember back when Bischoff was throwing Turners money around like crazy, only a few people had a $1M contract then. Bret was signed for $3M but it was a multi year deal.

Also another thing to consider is where you are placed on the card during PPVs. If you are main event you get a higher % of the draw the PPV does than a mid carder will.

well I remember in that movie the wrestler all he had money for was US made gh and pain pills but got locked out of his trailer by randy and had to sleep in his van....had cool hair but didn't look like his ass saw 75K WITH taxes in Nevuary of '85

but I remember a the house shawn micheals lived in, in san Antonio and his ass was paid, wife was hot --- saw stone cold with some tall blonde in the salsa isle at a HEB there too, thick bastard

She was awarded one bank account with about 700k in it, 54k a year in child support, a house and god knows what else for about seven years of marriage.

Divorce laws are draconian(says a man who handed his ex well over seven figures).

Not really into wrestling but the only guy I know and know him pretty well since a girlfriend of mine is dating his son is kevin von erich. Think he had 4/5 other brothers and all of them committed suicide. Kevin is a pretty cool, very family oriented and good dude. Love hearing his stories
