Very good movie, falls apart a bit at the end. It has a very cool grimy NYC feel to it like Taxi Driver, etc.... Great soundtrack too.

I saw it in the movies. I had to scrub my body with a brillo pad when I came home. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

If you do watch it, look for Ed "Al Bundy" O'neill in a early role, also the reported Bruno Kirby crisco fisting scene during I think, the second club visit.

At the time Pacino would live the life of the characters he played for total immersion.  Wouldn't be shocked if he lived the homo life during this time.  Apparently during Scarface, the producer was having a fit about Al not leaving his trailer, they were hours behind.  He kept knocking on the door "Al, we need you"  Al would ignore.  Then his agent went to the door, knocked and said "Tony, it's time"  and Al came out to film.  he was so into it he would only go by Tony.

Yeah what the hell was this scene about, can someone please tell me?!? Some big nig just walks in, wearing underwear, and starts smacking the shot outta this guy, what's up with this scene?!?

DeNiro is famous for that too. It's called "method acting". Helps you become the character better if you live the same life/mindset.
