Anderson is the most advantages in comparison. He has precise striking and his speed and timing can be devasting when he's on his game.  He was busy pretending to be stagger around when Weidman caught him. Silva was caught offguard by his showboating and paid the price. The second time they meet silva knows he can't bait weidman by clowning around so he won't take any unnneccesary chances again.

As for weidman - lightning may strike twice but i doubt it.

Yep, Dana reversed course and bumped Tate/Rousey down to co-main

The jigg is up for Silva...He's not a killer and never was one...Jon Jones is more of a killer...Any patient decent striker can now stand up to Silva.

Co-main event a couple of chicks fighting...That reason alone is why Dana White should go back to teaching aerobics...

I like it. I get to combine my two favorite hobbies: watching MMA and jerking off.

In an interview to Rede Record, the program Legendários, Anderson Silva came crying while commenting on the mistakes he made in the defeat. He also defended himself from allegations of fraud in the fight: "I'm a little upset (with these rumors), because when I go there to fight, I get to represent my country," he said.

So he represented brazil as an arrogant, cocky, unsportsmanlike fighter who was nothing more then a clown that night

Is the first fight Silva's Mike Tyson moment? He better win the rematch or he's lost the fear factor going forward...

Either the lost effected him a lot or he will train like a mad man, make or break. Did not go so well with Fedor after he tasted a loss.

I picked Weidman the first time so I'm going to stick with him in round 2.  He was six months post shoulder surgery in the last fight and could have been star struck at Silva's entourage, the magnitude of the fight etc but he wasn't. He was broke and trying to make it in MMA and came into the fight ready.  He will be even better prepared this go around and I feel he can stand with Silva and handle him on the ground.

It should once again be a closely matched fight and Silva will ready no doubt. I just believe Weidman matches up well.

Fool took a dive.

I was in vegas for vacation that weekend. My cab driver was on the phone with somebody. They were talking about smart money pouring in on Weidman last minute or some crap.

I got to the hotel, ran to the casino and dropped some $ on Weidman. Gotta go with these cab drivers. They know everything around town.

Got whooped on the ground and standing.

This will be Anderson's retirement fight. Good riddance.

What concerns me is the gay punch that knocked out Anderson Silva, it was a very lazy short left hook with nothing on it.  Anderson went from being effectively unharmed and full of energy, to knocked out grabbing the referees leg. It was the most embarrassing way the so called greatest fighter on the planet could lose.  I don't think he will ever mentally recover from that.  If he had of lost a brutal 5 round back and forth war, nobody would have faulted him for that, but to get knocked out by a little girly punch the way he did, there is no coming back from that.

But having said that, Weidman doesn't have much octagon experience and is still relatively untested, but he is mentally focused and his heart is in the game.  I think Silva is done, his heart and mind aren't in the fight game anymore, and once they are gone, you're done.  I predict Weidman to win by submission in the third round.

Silva arrives with bad intent and puts on a clinic.

Chisel it in stone fellas.
