Dude, Kaz would destroy any powerlifter today if he were their age and on a comparable cycle.  That guy was an absolute beast.  Watch those old World's Strongest Man videos.  He dominated so hard that one year the other competitors refused to compete if he competed!  Have you ever heard such a thing happen in any other sport?  They knew they had absolutely no chance to win against him.  I met Kaz many years ago and he is a really nice guy, not at all what you would think the sterotypical meathead weight lifter would be like.  I know i am totally blowing him here, but he is one of my heroes.  This dude just inspired me so much when I was a teenager to push myself further than i thought i could go.

If these freak show acts were the real fit beasts that some of u say they are they'd would be in the NFL.
Not all strongmen want to chase a pigskin up and down a field with a bunch of closet homos patting each other arses for the entertainment of the moronic masses.

Nah you can be strong and fit as fuck, but if you're not fast and able to pick the technique up you'd never make it past college.....which is exactly where his football career ended

I bet if he was oiled up and waring a thong, there would be more comments.

The coach gets turned on by big hairy bear powerlifting types and other getbiggers like the bodybuilder in a thong type, guess there is something for everyone on getbig.

fake plates

45 x 6 = 270  ??

must be one heavy ass bar   ::)

I see eight 45lbs plates with a 25 on the end. So 455lbs.

His bench record is still in the top 10. These guys had bigger balls, less available training info and gear..and just went for it. Kaz got as much from strength as he did from just being mentally tougher then everybody. Couch keep posting this crap..the thong sniffers go nuts.

no, its 4 x 45 per side + a 22lb (10kg) on each side + a 44lb Olympic bar = 448lb.

i have a feeling these guys are only good for one maximum lift a day, and if they were asked to mow a couple yards they couldnt because they would die from cardiac failure

No it doesn't...But he was one of those 10 anadrol a day guys...He read the label that stated up to 10 a day and decided it was fine.lol

Still though, does anadrol give you super joints and connective tissue?  I mean, the guy is rounding his back on deadlifts and he is seemingly walking around today.  I deadlifted like a guy during my teens and 20s and all i got is a messed up back.

He was stupidly strong drugs or not.

He's turning 60 years old this month. At his PEAK (around 1981) the man was 6'2.5", 340 pounds and arguably the strongest man to ever live. Had he not torn his pecs, bi's, tri's and every other muscle in his body, he would have gotten stronger and stronger.

Who makes a 22lbs plate in US that's not a bumper plate?

Kaz, Steve Disalvo and jeff Everson all hung out together.  jeff was the weak one with a 560 raw, pause bench.

York did in the 70's - 80's, but they were nowhere near as popular in the US as  pound plates. You can special order them now too. My two olympic sets are York iron sets, one imperial, one metric.

I was able to find a pic online -

The great Kaz was maybe the strongest all-around beast to ever live. He along with zydrunas had probably the strongest pressing shoulders of all time

true, york made 22lb and 25lb, they also made both 45lb and 44lb and their Olympic bars were 44lb.
