I'm not a self hating Arab, I'm a Stupid-Hating-Arab.... And the Egyptians are acting pretty stupid! I'll see you next year at the next protests- or the one after that, because this is going to go on forever!
Ok, there's a lot of kids in the Arab world that are born to farmer type mentality house holds, very little education. I agree.
...but who will lead these people? Why is everyone's instinct over there is to flee and never look back if they get the chance.
All the top minds, engineers, chemists, successful business men file for immigration crossing their fingers they'll get accepted, and once they leave, they forget about their homeland.
..but i also understand that even if you wanted to try and help, it's essentially pissing your life away, as nothing of tangible benefit will manifest.
All in all, the middle east can be a very nice place if wealth redistribution and open borders was set in motion. Also, Islam as it's practised now is holding back the entire region like heroin to an addict.
My impression of Arabs when i grew up there was generally good. It's sad to see most of them struggle with poverty, politics, and deeply rooted dysfunctional societal norms.
