while my other leg i can go a full 70 degrees or so up without bending at the knee leg completley straight

i notice if i 'swing' up my leg STRAIGHT without bending at the knee i can go pretty high up with my left leg without pain like around 70 degrees

now with my right leg 'swing' up completley straight i only hit about 25 degrees and hit a 'pain wall' like on my lower right back... i think if i keep doing this ill eventually work it out

i havent been doing kicks in long time, and im also quad dominate this may be the solution

no im just eating every thing , i have a huge variety in my diet to cover all known and uknown vitamins. i bet in one year they will find new vitamins they havent told us about coming from certain foods , thats why you want a varied approach

but yes the lower back pain seems to stem from too much squats and manual labor and not enough straight leg up movements like you see dancers do wich stretch out your lower back

ive always known my left was more flexible than my right but never was really into stretching or into kicking super high but i hypothesis i may have created an imbalance

im icing that side with always helps but ill have to keep doing the leg lifting motion, while teasing the pain with each rep, i think it may get better

I told you before that low back pain has a direct correlation between ,tight hamstrings, flutes and psoas is more than likely weak, not turning on or both. Soft tissue work and stretch.

I got a severely painful sciatic nerve.  Can't bend at the waste at all.  Getting in the car is a torture.  My left ham is tight as a virgin and incredibly tender to the touch.  Seeing a chiropractor and stretching for now.  Will be getting an MRI soon. 

Fucking sucks not being able to move in summer.

Yes when you got a back issue just a little move will hurt I busted mine doing heavy deads which is my strongest lift a chiro showed me some seated twists to at home. I always do them before training.

it worked for polumbo. after all he just had to have 3 surgeries on his knee so far,  after falling down the stairs in an indian gym less than a year ago. .
 if not for the crystals he probably would have had 6 failed surgeries instead of 2 failed surgeries

dude calm down and just stretch it for minites a time

relax on the floor or bed and put one leg up high as you can on a wall without bending your knee, hold that stretch for a long time youll feel that pain right at the glute and lower back area. do it while watching tv so its relaxing and enjoyable

Direction correlation or not, this is not a case of a muscle "not turning on".  What he is doing is similar to the orthopoedic test called "SLR" or "Straight Leg Raise" test.  By performing hip flexion and there is pain anywhere from 30deg (+/- 5deg) to 70 deg (+/- 5 deg) the likely cause is a herniated disk.  At the point of pain you either passively dorsiflex the patients foot aggresively and see if there is pain.  If so, this is a nice confirmation.  If pain if relieved by simply flexing the knee at the point of pain, you have another confirmation of herniated disk along with radiculopathy.  As a confirmation you could also perform Bechterew's Test.

Suggestion : MRI for sure along AP and LAT x-ray.

Or, just simply stretch  ::)

If there is no pain, I would say flexibility issue, but there is pain.  There is LBP, I never mentioned hip.  This is why there should be confirmatory ortho testing done to determine if this is something discogenic in nature or possible musculoskeletal.  Doing Bechterew, Bragard, Well Leg Raise, Fajersztajn's , etc.  is warranted.  Also, the model of PT's saying that a muscle "isnt firing" is crap (in my opinion).  Ask yourself this...a nerve will 'control' a muscle.  With that nerve, how many motor units are controlled by that nerve?  Do you honestly think that none of those motor units fire?  I can agree that there is underfiring of a muscle...but saying a muscle doesn't fire at all is ridiculous.  You would have to have zero nerve firing for a muscle not to fire.

I think you're absolutely right.  I stretch for like 30 mins yesterday morning and 15mins at night before bed.  I did what you described (holding leg up as high as possible).  Hurt like hell but i felt it right at the top of glutes and down to my hams.  Feels much better this morning. 

I'm supposed to see a 'pain specialist' today but i'm really thinking of canceling.  I was referred to a clinic that's an all-in-one; Chiro, PT, and a bunch of silly shit.  They just want to throw me from one person to another to drain my health insurance. 

I already feel much better today and now i can see myself getting better.  Still hurts but with more stretching it should get better.
