Dejon Ward's Killers Caught On Camera, Police Ask For Help Identifying Them

When Dejon Ward got lost in Los Angeles last Friday, he did what any responsible driver would do: He pulled into a parking lot to examine a map. But Ward's commonplace decision ended in tragedy when a gunman approached and fatally shot him.

Now Los Angeles police are pleading with the public to help identify two men that they think were involved in the senseless shooting. During a press conference Tuesday, the LAPD unveiled security footage of two men emerging from a silver Nissan Armada SUV in the same parking lot Ward was in. The video does not show the shooting, but does show the two suspects running back to their car and speeding away.

After he was shot, Ward tried to drive himself toward help but ended up crashing into an apartment building on Venice Blvd., where he was pronounced dead on the scene, reports KCAL9.

Ward, originally from Victorville in San Bernardino County, graduated from Charter Oak High School in 2009 and was a college football player, reports KCAL9. During the press conference, LAPD Capt. Lillian Carranza emphasized that Ward was not involved in any illegal activity. He didn't even get into an argument with the gunman before he was shot.

"He was shot and killed while he sat in his car, seat-belted in," said Carranza.

Ward's funeral will take place Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at the Southside Christian Palace Miracle Center.

I got a flat tire down there once....I got hit up 3 times for spare change, but most of the people steered clear. Was in a grocery store parking lot with a 10' fence around the entire place.

Modern age is overloading us with information that only clutters the mind, and adds anxiety and stress when it's not warranted.

Unless you live in that locality, this should be of no concern to you.

Also, with modern smartphone apps, i don't know who pulls out maps in fucking parking lots. Guy must of been real old school.

Did I ever tell you I was in a memorabilia shop (where you can buy signed jerseys, pictures and balls, etc. - no thongs!) and one of the signed baseballs was black. Asked to see it and upon closer inspection it turned out to be a Pete Rose ball with all his HOF stats and sig. I thought that was a cool thing. Should have bought it, but we were in a hurry to the game and were (obviously) imbibing. One day.

Wow man you should of got it. Pete was best at 2nd base. A .303 lifetime average, I hated him. I prefer Joe DiMaggio he got Ted on base many times.
