  The only reason its so liked is that netflix documentary there are many tryptamines that are about as bad and thought provoking. i also imagine its popular because it can be extracted pretty easily from a  lot of substances. There are a lot of similar tryptamines that are not even illegal. It i guess so to speak like a crack form of mushrooms  u shrunk the whole mushroom trip of 6 hours into 30 mintues. Lsd is watched by the goverment and very hard to synth so a lot of these weird drugs are replacing them. aco-dmt is legal or quaisy legal in most countries its very similar 4ho-met also. These weird drugs are eve getting popular with the cartels.

Both can give you that inner peace/happiness, but only meditation won't fuck with your health; it will improve it.
Like working out, it won't work immediately, so be patient.
I would say, try an introduction lesson. I'm glad I once did

I don't have personal experiences with these drugs, but it isn't the first time that someone jumped out of a window and died, over here in the Netherlands, and no, it wasn't the strong coffee..

Dmt does not,  or at least should not belong in the recreational drug catagory.  It's not something that people do while partying.  It's an intensely thought provoking, profound experience. 

The suggestion that meditation even comes close to the experience DMT can offer is laughable.

Meditation is a great way to relax and refocus.  Beware of gurus trying to sell you metaphysical nonsense.  Meditation stands on its own merits, metaphysical woo isn't necessary.

Still haven't tried it even thought I talk about here just about every year. This is different from other so called psychedelics. This one takes you somewhere, too many people repeat the same trip which tells you, it's not a trip in the traditional sense, it's a trip to another place, another dimension. This is why I haven't fucked with it because if I were to, I'd plan on wrecking havoc on the machine elves that are there. (Yes, I know I sound nuts, read about peoples trips and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Terrence Mckenna was saying in that video how DMT takes you to places your mind couldn't have gone.  I don't remember how he said it, but that somehow it takes you places and brings your thoughts that your mind couldn't possibly go based on your previous life experience, and memory.
