I remember this guy, was thick as ever and had great back separation but could never get that last edge of conditioning, maybe thick skin, holding water or maybe some fat left, hard to tell but if he actually nailed it he would have done some serious damage.

Honestly, I'm not sure. We trained together when he was getting ready for the Olympia, that was the same year they tested, but what I can tell you is he looked phenomenal and would have been easily in the top three if not won the whole thing if he wasn't disqualified. Freakiest legs next to Platz I've seen to date. As for his retiring, not really sure about that either. I haven't heard from him in over 15 years.

He lives in Chandler, AZ.  He will not attend ANY bodybuilding events EVER again. Comes off like he hates bodybuilding.  He retired because of kidney problems (believe he had to have a transplant).
