The San Diego Comic-Con just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. I used to attend when I lived there. In the early 2000's you could walk right up to the convention center, buy your ticket and walk right in. Now, that's impossible. There are about 50,000-75,000 people turned away every year because the SD convention center can only hold so many people. I have no idea how the fire marshal can allow wall-2-wall people in there every year. The Comic-Con must make a nice donation to the fire department every year.

It has gotten ridiculous. I haven't been in years.

Now it's just an excuse for generation nothing to do nothing and be nothing... Everyone goes now... It's a sham of it's former self.

I agree 100%. Once Hollywood took over, it was done. There are many who are beginning to feel the same way... but there will always be the die-hards geeks who go every year no matter what.

Exactly, it's a big Hollywood promo fest now. There are a lot of shows there that have nothing to do with comics. Metallica did a concert to promote their documentary. What the fuck does that have to do with Comic Con? People lining up at 4 am and the lines are long. Fuck that. I'm not waiting in line for 4 hours. The hotels are a bunch of fucking crooks. The hard rock is about $200 a night, during comic con they charge $600 and up. Gouging people to death. Hope that shit leaves SD.
