Author Topic: Just started HRT/TRT. Galeniko, others on replacement therapy, question. (Read 8007 times)

What dosage are you guys prescribed? My numbers came back at 278 and im 28 years old. The doctor very hesitantly put me on 1ml/250mg eow. I had to really push him as he kept telling me my numbers were in normal range. Apparently is doesn't matter what your age is as long as your levels are at least equivalent to an average man on his death bed.

Anyway, have any of you guys thought of taking just enough to have your numbers come back low on the retest to see if you can prescribed a higher dosage? If so, did it work? Or am I stuck at 250mg every other week? And if you're on that dosage, does it work well for you guys?

Hrt, for middle aged guys who can't hack it in a gym;). The shit they come up with today. My doctor asked if I wanted my testosterone checked, I declined...knowing even if it were low, I wouldn't be on some pussy meds to make working out possible.

I guess your doctor is the one jabbing you otherwise you could just skip the next injection and I assume test levels would come back rock bottom. Makes me wonder if there's anyway to manipulate it when the doc himself is doing the biweekly injections...

Thats my idea... I'm the one jabbing myself so I'm thinking of taking a half dose a couple weeks before the test to check my how the hormones are doing. I'd be happier at one shot a week... but I guess if EOW gives me normal levels than thats all I really care about.

The doc tried lecturing me on how 278 is within normal ranges... I said, yeah, for an 80 year old man... and he conceded that I was right, but that I don't need test and he would rather put me on some bullshit SSRI's instead for my symptoms... I pretty much just said look... My levels are rock bottom for ALL men tested.... I have all the symptoms of low test and a low blood test result to boot... just put me on HRT. He finally did, but acted like he was prescribing me a gram a week of juice, he was all weird about it. I don't understand docs... they'll put you on all kinds of crazy med's that fuck with your brain... but act like helping get your hormone levels back to normal is the same as getting you hooked on heroin... I don't get it.

FYI, my low levels seem to be related to my past heavy opiate usage. I don't really have much a history with juice.

btw, I take 250mgs test cyp every 8-10 days and its way better than being natural. Not expecting huge gains but it does make a noticeable difference.

initially was on the patch.. which sucked, even when wearing 4 of them, and swallowing the gel inside them after a day or two.

then went to 200mg inj every other week without any issue, until I had a test come back in the 1400's and he freaked out (whereas 6 months earlier he'd said 'we don't care how high it goes, we just want to avoid the lows') and cut the dose to 300mg every 3 weeks.

I asked my doctor to check my test levels , he didn't want to do it because he said testosterone levels fluctuate throughout the day,and I would need many tests to get a true picture of my levels .

Yeah, he wanted me to take a morning test as well, he said they were at their highest in the morning. I had an afternoon test and a morning test.

When measuring levels, 397-1169 is what is considered "normal" ranges no matter what your age is. Most docs are still stuck in the 70s with this treatment and protocol. If you get a doc wanting to do injects every other week, walk out the door immediately.

The standard protocol for HRT/TRT clinics here in South FL is

250mg Test Cyp weekly
2 x 500iu HCG weekly
2 tabs of Arimidex weekly

One shot of cyp weekly should bring your numbers up to between 1100 and 1400. The average is the low to mid 1200s.

Very interesting. This isn't an HRT clinic, this is just my typical Grouphealth clinic. They do have a new "Low T" clinic in Seattle that they've been advertising. It's like $100 for your first visit.

TBH, I didn't do the morning one. I just told him I was on HRT before and I wanted back on it. Lol. He said it usually doesn't fluctuate very much... but I'm sure that if it was even 50 points higher he wouldn't have put me on HRT.

Ones here charge $150-$195 per month for all three drugs and your lab tests every two months for the first six months and then once a year.

You can add in HGH for an extra $350-$500 per month.

IMHO unless your prone to gyno you don't need the AE, and if you throw in the hcg those #s double
