I am worried about the rights of the hundreds of passengers. Shouldn't these things be remote controlled and not be able to get up to speeds like that with corners approaching...Hell cars have backup sensors and will hit the brakes if something is behind you be these trains don't have multiple sensors so things like this are next to impossible?
Crazy, eh? It's like going to Niagra falls and there not being a railing to keep you from walking straight over the edge or a buying a sword without a "do not stab sword into your stomach" sticker! What's going to keep people from walking right over the falls or disemboweling themselves?
Yes, they said in news that kind of accident would be practically impossible in Finland because the driver of the train just can't exceed the speed limits. I have always thought that's the case with all modern trains.
