A lot of college stars sign a shit load of stuff, but not for immediate sale.  They do it so that if/when they make it pro, that stuff they signed in college becomes that much more expensive and sought after.  Manziel could have signed  a lot of stuff for this purpose but unknowingly some booster could have been selling it all behind the scenes.  College football is the most hypocritical sport in the nation behind NCAA basketball.  Students making billions for the schools but if they make $10 they get kicked out.

How about the free education they get?

he was supposed to be a 3rd round pic as it is.  He's too short. 

In college... teams have film on him now.  He can't improv as much this year.  He will feel so much pressure because he'll be trailing a lot of shitty QBs this year in a lot of categories, already out of the Heismann conversation.

I was.
At a time when college was $30,000 a year (now it is more than that at top schools), I would scratch my heads at the kids who would complain about not getting paid because their images were being used by EA Sports, etc.  What about the education (my school had a very high graduation rate, and a more strict GPA policy than NCAA imposed), the loads of free shoes, sweats, etc.?
