Maxed out? Please, Phil is not that big, he has incrementally gained weight since his 2006 rookie yr, where he was about 225. And people were saying on here that in 2007-08 that he was maxed out. He was in the 240s last yr I believe...and if you have seen those off season pics where he was apparently in the 260s and shredded, Phil still has some room to grow.

This.  Kai has to drop weight to get in shape (we saw what happen when he tried to Ronnie up.) while Phil could possibly add another 10lbs over the next couple of years.  He gets at least 6 in a row with the current sorrowful pros.

yeah, I think you summed it up perfectly.  He can't help how his frame is built, nor the judging standards.  He's just the best thing going right now.  in the arnold era, he wouldnt be winning titles. Nor in the Ronnie era.   He is the best of today's era, however.

Dude won his card at like 215-220, and barely was bigger than that...and yes he has slowly put on the muscle, each yr he is incrementally bigger. Stop making Phil out to be some dude who puts on huge amounts of muscle, because he isn't...I cannot even see Phil being 260 in the future

The first time I saw Phil Heath was on getbig when Mo Elbasouni was claiming he was going to win the jr. nationals that year in 2005 that Phil ended up winning Mo kept bragging and posting pictures of his progress he had this whole knock-off kevin levrone routine down and Boom one day Lift studios I believe it was introduced us all to Phil Heath and everybody was impressed and said good luck Mo-lol. Phil was real young back then. he is def a diffrent bodybuilder today. The gains are insane from 2005 to now.

Kai would be up for a 3rd or even 4th title - if he spent the past ten years in the Army or as an accountant.

In my humble opinion, he's still being punished for his flirtatious past in the entertainment industry.  If the TREND continues - he looked bigger than Phil (but Phil stepped over the line) and he clearly cleaned Kai's clock at the Grand Prix event... if that trend continues, Kai will look a LOT bigger than Phil this year.  BUT I think they'll keep right on punishing him.  He should just focus on winning the arnold, enjoying 3rd every year at the O.  "Play your position" as Biggie said...  Mr O is the best representative of the sport, not the best body that day onstage.  It was defined that way initially.  Physique a big part, but if it's close, they give it to the guy grinning with NBA players at Nuggets games, not the dude with grpefruit gifs.  not fair - Kai's physique will smoke Phil this year - but it's reality

Do you remeber Mo elbasouni? remeber he claimed he would win the jr. nationals that year I even remeber his quote " Phil Heath is good actually Phil Heath is great but he is not the matawan muscle machine BOOM BOOM BOOM") I thin it was the first time most of us had ever seen Phil heaths picture and i believe it was Lift studios who showed us who Phil Heath was. Then all of us were like shit! Good luck with that Mo. Phil took the overall and the pro card the matawan muscle machine took 12th or 13th and got sick due to a o'reagon hectic diuretic dosage.

Phil has very round muscle packed on a relatively small frame! It makes it more pleasing to the eye than Kai! His muscles pop when he poses as long as he is dry and ripped! Kai's physique does not flow the way Phil's does!

it shouldn't matter.  But I still think it does.

Wheeler did that in the days before social media and getbig forums.  We have seen dozens of images of Kai stripping, towel, grapefruit.  We never saw that from Bbers in decades past.  That pic of naked Arnold didn't come out for decades after he competed.  Does he win in 1980 if the shower and small peepee posing pics are all over the boards?  hard to say.
